Photoshop Grid Lines Tutorial for Beginners Step by Step
Step 1: Open Kid with Dog Image from Computer
In our first
step, open an image from computer. I decided to open a kid image with dog. The main
reason is that, it will remain best image for this editing technique.
Go to File –> Open from main menu or press
the command Ctrl + O from keyboard.
An open
window will expose, here pick up the require image from computer and do click Open button.
Step 2: Create New Layer for Vertical Grids
In our second
step, make the new layer in Layer Panel. The main objective is that, through
this we would able to make vertical grids. Because this new layer will transparent
and best way to do work separately without any disturbance in Original layer.
Here do
click on the second icon from right side in below of layer panel. Change the
layer name as “Vertical Grids”. See below picture I have created a new layer.
Step 3: Make Vertical Grids by Single Column Marquee Tool
In 3rd
step, make the vertical Grids on the new layer. For this purpose select the Single Column Marquee Tool from Tool
Bar.
Keep in mind
before plotting Grids, press the command Ctrl
+ R. You will see a scale will appear on the screen. Now you can plot
vertical girds according same spaces.
In below
picture, I have plotted vertical grids with same space just using Single Column
Marquee Tool by holding Shift key.
Step 4: Convert Grids into Black Stroke
The vertical
grids have been plotted, now convert these grids into black stroke. For this
purpose go to Edit -> Stroke from
main menu. A Stroke window will pop up, here give stroke width 2px, Color black, location inside and
click on Ok button.
You will see
the lines will be converted into black stroke like below picture.
Step 5: Select each Grid by Rectangular Marquee Tool
With black
lines, grids have been separated. Now select the each Grid by Rectangular Marquee
Tool.
Pick up this
tool from Tool Bar, and select a panel top to bottom like below picture.
After that
we can change the color of each panel easily.
Step 6: Colorize Grids In Multi colors by Hue and Saturation
In this
step, I will colorize every grid in multi colors by using Hue and saturation
properties.
The panel
has been selected by rectangular tool now click on 4th icon from
left side in below of Layer panel. A hue list will pop up here, pick up the
option Hue/Saturation.
Recently a hue/saturation
properties window will slide out. Here first of all check the colorize option
and adjust the values as Hue 164, Saturation 25, Lightness 0.
You will see
this will a very light color, the reason is that just we want this effect so we
will go light color to dark. So keep first panel light and end panel dark. Here
I have colorize the first panel.
The first
gird has been completed, now colorize other grids in multi colors by repeating
same step.
For second
grid adjust hue as saturation as Hue 160,
Saturation 25, Lightness 0.
For 3rd
grid put values as Hue 156, Saturation 25 and Lightness 0 with type Color.
So at the
end I have colorized every grid in multicolor, look below picture.
This was our
final step, we have colorized all vertical grids in multi colors just in 6
steps. I hope you will have understood it and will do practical work at your
end. If you couldn’t understand this amazing tutorial, then don’t worry watch
